Women’s Fly Fishing Workshops: Two Separate Days Offered

Adventures with Western Waters is offering a Women’s Beginning Fly Fishing Class. Come spend a day learning the essential basics of fly fishing taught by experienced angler Peggy Temple. This class will start at square one in a noncompetitive small group environment taking the angler through knot tying, selecting proper equipment and flies, learning the tackle, casting methods, landing and releasing fish and where and how to go fishing. Peggy will focus on making each student a confident independent angler by the end of the class.
The class will meet at 9:00 am concluding at 4:00pm. The first part of the day will be in a class room with the afternoon being held waterside to discuss fishing etiquette, safety and casting practice. Lunch during the class will be provided by Western Waters. Equipment can be provided by Western Waters however you are encouraged to use your own if you have it. If you would like to purchase equipment prior to class please contact Peggy.
The class size will be limited to ensure proper personal instruction. A credit card, release form, and diet concerns will be required in advance.
$85.00 includes instruction, lunch and shared equipment use.

Intermediate Class prepares the beginner angler by providing more advanced information and techniques on becoming a better fly fishing woman!
Classes meet at Western Waters Fly Shop. It is located at Cyr Exit on the Clarkfork River. Class begins at 9:00 am and concludes at 4:00pm. The first day will be in the shop and on our property with dry-land casting practice. The second day will be stream side to discuss fishing etiquette, safety, watershed, and practice the techniques learned in a real environment. Equipment during the class will be provided by Western Waters.
Class size is limited to ensure proper personal instruction. If lodging is desired we can refer you to a local B&B. A credit card, release form, and dietary concerns will be required at registration.
Whitewater Rafting Kids River Camps 2013: Two Separate Days Offered
Participants: Ages 8-14
Session I: July 24, 2013
Session II: August 14th, 2013

$85.00 includes lunch and river photo!We offer two separate days of white water river camps for youth visiting or residing in the Clark Fork watershed. They are taught: watershed education, river safety, reading the water flow/current, river obedience, no trace left behind, proper PFD (life jacket) safety, bug identification, etc.
These summer camps take place through the Alberton Gorge on the Clark Fork River, navigating the white water in a raft with one of our guides. This day will provide the children with a safe and educational experience. Our goal is to inspire the next generation to navigate and engage with the great outdoors with our experienced guides. Camps start at 9am and end at 4:00pm at our shop (Our rafting and fishing headquarters) located at the Alberton Gorge entrance at Cyr Exit off I-90. The day will include lunch, guided rafting trip, and a river photo. Pre-registration is required to reserve a spot in our summer camps. A credit card, release form, and dietary concerns will have to be provided in advance.
Fly Fishing Adventure Camp 2013

Every summer, Adventures with Western Waters offers a one-day Fly Fishing Adventure Camp for youth (ages 10-17) visiting or residing in the Clark Fork watershed area. They are taught: watershed education, river safety, basic aquatic insect facts, bug identification, river obedience, no trace left behind, fly fishing techniques and knots, proper fish handling, and PFD (life jacket) safety. These summer camps start at our shop and also take place hiking and fishing beside the riverbank. We provide our participants a safe and educational experience. Our goal is to inspire the next generation to navigate and engage with the great outdoors! Pre-registration is required to reserve a spot in our summer camps and they almost always fill up. A credit card, release form, and dietary concerns need to be provided in advance.
River Boot Camp for Adults 2013
Participants: Open to Adults Ages 16+
Session I: Blackfoot River June 1st and 2nd
Session II: Clark Fork River June 22nd and 23rd
Session III: Clark Fork River Sept. 20th and 21st

$170.00 includes lunches both days, river photo, and river gear to use. Ever wondered where to go, how to plan your day, how to rig a raft, how to run a river, and read the water? Our two-day River Boot Camp for Adults will teach participants proper river etiquette, identifying CFS, rescue and safety, how shuttles work, and where to go. We also teach where to go, when to go, how to plan your day and who can go with you at what levels of water ( http://waterdata.usgs.gov/MT/nwis/current/?type=flow ). This class will start at square one in a noncompetitive small group environment. River Boot Camp focuses on making each participant a confident rafter/floater by the end of the class with the knowledge to respect and run our beautiful rivers. Class begins at 9:00 am and concludes at 4:00pm. We meet at the river site and is TBA on water level. Class size is limited to ensure proper personal instruction. If lodging is desired we can refer you to a local B&B. A credit card, release form, and dietary concerns will be required at registration.
