Coeur d’Alene, Idaho has become a hub for family biking enthusiasts by virtue of its beautiful landscape, views that go on forever, and trails that range from beginner to advanced and suit all riding abilities.
Class II E-Bikes are not permitted on the Hiawatha Trail; they are class II with a throttle. In March, 2019, Idaho legislation passed a law that treats e-bikes the same as human-powered bikes, clearing the way to ride them on all Idaho trails. The Hiawatha is a federal trail, thus subject to the more restrictive Class I E-bikes.

Coeur d’Alene is a bicyclist’s paradise and it’s a great way to see the town. Ride along the lake or up the Spokane River, stop for lunch, jump in to swim, and ride back to drop off the bike when done at the same location.
Electric Adventures offers E bikes: battery powered pedal assist electric bikes to navigate the endless biking routes that connect through town such as the North Idaho Centennial Trail or the paved Prairie Trail through town. Electric bikes give you all the freedom and benefits of cycling, with a little extra assistance when desired.
Benefits: E Bikes are transportation of the future. They improve fitness, allow you to rest when needed, and can be used pedal only if desired. It’s like riding a normal bike-just a bit easier. If you haven’t yet tried it, you should experience it while on vacation or simply for fun in Coeur d’Alene.
What is an E Bike? E bikes are bicycles with a battery-powered “assist” that comes via pedaling or, in some cases, a throttle. When you push the pedals on a pedal-assist e-bike, a small motor engages and gives you a boost, so you can zip up hills and cruise over tough terrain without wearing out.
Battery Lives: Battery lives differ between the models of the bikes. All have a range of battery life which is dependent upon how much you peddle along with the bike.
